Ross Distribution Center: In May 2024, Ross Stores announced it will construct its 9th distribution center in Randleman, 10 miles north of Madison Heights. The $450 million, 1.7 million SF warehouse is anticipated to create 800 jobs.

Wolfspeed Chip Plant: Wolfspeed is on track to complete its $5 billion silicon carbide manufacturing facility by the end of the year with plans to become operational by 2025. The Siler City plant, roughly 21 miles east of Madison Heights, will span 445 acres and create 1,800 jobs.

Centralized North Carolina Location: Asheboro is part of the Greensboro-High Point Metropolitan Area, commonly referred to as the Piedmont Triad. Madison Heights is 27 miles from Greensboro (via I-73) and 44 miles from Winston-Salem (via I-74). Madison Heights is also 71 miles from Raleigh and 74 miles from Durham (Hwy 64). The Piedmont Triad is home to significant North Carolina demand drivers including Atrium Health, Cone Health, Novant Health, UNC Greensboro, Wake Forest University, HanesBrands HQ, and the Piedmont Triad International Airport.
