In January 2024, WPT Nonwovens opened a $19.5 million, 75,000 SF manufacturing center in Ohio County which will create 35 jobs.
In October 2023, Big Rivers broke ground on a new $57 million, 47,000 SF transmission operations center which is expected to create 70 jobs.
In August 2023, Owensboro began a $30 million highway expansion project that will widen 2 roads that link to the river port.
