Many developments are occurring across New Orleans. The Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport (MSY) is being imp under a $1 billion plan. The development includes a taxiway extension, a new terminal, board rooms, improved baggage handling systems, and widening the airport roadway entrance. A $1 billion, 39 acre mixed-use development, Riverfront Development District, plans to open the beginning of 2025. This project plans for 6,000 new jobs, hotels, retail space, Topgolf, Shell headquarters, and 900 housing units, with 450 being affordable and workplace units. They aim to bring in $43 million of annual tax revenue to the city.
A software company, 360Insights, are moving its headquarters to New Orleans. They expect to bring in 100 new jobs in the region.
