Robins Air Force Base is by far the largest employer in the area, while brands such as GEICO, Frito-Lay, Amazon, and Mercer University have a strong presence in the area. The region is also anchored by major medical centers, including Navicent Health’s The Medical Center (637 beds), Piedmont Macon (413 beds / 2 hospitals), and Houston Healthcare – Warner Robins (237 beds).
