An EV battery company, Dongwha Electrolyte, invested $70 million into their manufacturing plant. They plan to be completed in the summer of 2024, with 68 new jobs to Clarksville. Another EV batter plant, LG Chem, is building a $3.2 billion, 420 acre plant with 860 jobs. They expect Phase I will be completed in 2025 and the entire plant to be at full capacity in 2028.
A $50 million, 4 acre mixed-use development, Riverview Square, plants to open December 2024. The project plans for 45,000 SF of retail, restaurants, and entertainment venues. The existing Riverview hotel in the square is being renovated to a 156-room hotel, DoubleTree by Hilton Clarksville Riverview. They expect 370 retail/food service jobs and 82 hotel jobs.
